my latest photography experiments…

I got a roll of film back yesterday and I can’t stop holding the strips up to my window. There’s something so addictive about looking at actual positives. No looking at an orange negative and trying to guess what it will look like, no scanning it into an app to flip the colors.

These frames are from a couple of weekends ago. Digital cameras are great, obviously, but they make everything look so perfect that it almost looks fake. This stuff does the opposite.

Shooting like this forces me to slow down, mostly because every shot costs money and I only get a handful of frames. It's just nice to have things you can actually drop on a table or pass around to friends, instead of just sending another link.
